But the Bangladesh liberation war was broke out into the all over the country after hearing the announcement. After fighting hard a lots of people sacrificed their life for the victory and  " 7 Bir Sreshtho
" has made a great contribution in the history.

As a result, Finally the Pakistani Armies surrendered on 16 December in 1971 to the Joint Liberation forces of Bangladesh freedom fighters and Indian Army headed by Lt. Gen Jagjit Singh Aurora (the Allied forces commander) in Dhaka. A. K Khondoker  Air vice Marshall represented the Bangladesh freedom fighters. Pakistan General A. A. K. Niazi (Commanding officer of the Pakistani Armed Forces) signed the surrender letter. As a result totally gained her victory in 16 December on 1971 after the long 9 month hard war with an unconditional surrender of west Pakistani army . At least 3 million people were martyred in this war.


Now this day is observed with joy and respect all the over the country  because this victory day marks the separation of East Pakistan ( Known as Bangladesh )   from west Pakistan (Present Pakistan ). In the morning, Thirty one Gun salutes in conducted. TV and radio stations broadcast their special programs . The leader of Bangladesh pays the tribute to the martyrs at national memorial. Whole country and all the TV channel and also radio stations palys patriotic songs. The main streets are decorated with the national flag.It is an important and memorable day in Bangladesh's  History and we can remember the born of Bangladesh by dint of this day.

Do you know what is the national victory day of Bangladesh ? Yeah, It's 16 December.The People of Bangladesh celebrate the victory day all over the country even in the whole world.Local people used to know this day as "Bijoy Dibos." Here "Bijoy" means Victory and "Dibosh" means Day.

The West Pakistani ( Present Pakistan) Army surrendered to the Bangladeshi after the 9 month long liberation war and as a result our motherland gained a victory.Now this day is a national holiday and people of Bangladesh express the day with great joy.All the Bangladeshi y enjoy this day with parades and paying respect at the national memorial at Savar near Dhaka.

On 16th December, Victory day mainly associated with parades,political speeches,fairs ,concerts and ceremonies and various other public and private events for celebrating the history of Bangladesh. Our motherland I mean Bangladesh gained her victory at 16th December on 1971 which was established by the thousands of Bengali peoples' blood and life. Bangladesh not only gained her victory on this day but also gained her proper respect and rights whatever they want.

 After the 25th March night in 1971, Pakistani army had start the operation searchlight and Killed thousands of Bengali people in that night and rape also many women,girls and teenagers. For this reason, the Liberation war was broke out . On the same night the operation reinforcement was Dhaka , Khulna , Chittagong , Comilla , Jessore , Rajshahi , Rangpur ,Saidpur and Sylhet areas where the west Pakistani Unit were concentrated.Pakistani Army Also arrested Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and some of other  top class political leaders, Intellectual person and some students who are lead the part of strike again West Pakistani Government . But the next the on 28th march in 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared The Bangladesh's Independence and on March 28 in 1971 , Major Ziaur Rahman made another announcement of Bangladesh's Independence.
